AEDIB|NET was part of the European Development Days 2022
AEDIB|NET actively participated in the European Development Days (EDD) on 21st and 22nd of June 2022 in Brussels. Organized by the European Commission, the EDD bring the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships.
AEDIB|NET shared a booth at the EDDs together with three other projects under the Digital for Development (D4D) Hub. The D4D Hub is a strategic multi-stakeholder platform that fosters digital cooperation between #TeamEurope and global partners. Its aim is to leverage the European Union and Member States’ digital expertise and resources for increased impact.
Together with the projects AU-EU D4D Hub, DIgital REsponse Connecting CiTizens (DIRECCT) by Agence Francaise de Développment (AFD) and Enabel, and RESICODI by Enabel and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, we showcased very concrete examples on how the digital transition and connectivity in EU partner countries can be accelerated.
We were pleased about the lively interest in our project and had very interesting conversations and made great new contacts on how to work together towards a human-centric digital transformation. A special highlight was certainly exhibiting together with the D4D Hub projects. It truly felt like one big African-European team.
