Associated Initiatives and projects



African DIHs are playing a central role in the development of digital entrepreneurship and by raising their capacities to tackle the challenges they face they will be more effective in driving digital innovation forward.

BIC Africa

BIC Africa is a regional network supporting selected business incubators (BIs) in stimulating entrepreneurship and creating and consolidating new innovative start-ups in Eastern and Southern Africa, with a specific focus on youth and women.

Catalytic Africa

Catalytic Africa is a matching fund by the African Business Angels Network (ABAN) and AfriLabs that aims to strengthen African startups, innovation hubs, and angel investors while delivering impact results to institutional funders.


The D4D Hub was launched in December 2020 by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, European Heads of States and D4D Hub partners. The D4D Hub serves as a strategic multi-stakeholder platform that fosters digital cooperation between the Team Europe and its global partners.


The DIGILOGIC project aims to unlock this potential by forming the first EU–Africa network of digital innovation hubs (DIHs). These DIHs will support growth by allowing startups, SMEs and innovators to contribute to the development of smart logistics solutions in collaboration with various industries.


The DIHNET.EU project supports the coordination of European, national and regional initiates directly supporting the digital transformation and Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs). The project aims to create a sustainable pan-European network of networks, with a focus on regional DIHs.

ENRICH in Africa

ENRICH in Africa works with key partners and advisors from the innovation landscape of Europe and Africa to address the needs for capacity development of incubators, accelerators, and entrepreneurs in both regions.


HUBiquitous aims at empowering innovation and sustainable technological solutions in Africa through the creation of a joint Africa-Europe Startup & Innovation Ecosystem for long-term collaborations and partnerships between these continents.

Innovation Dialogue Europe Africa (IDEA)

IDEA goal is To enable civil society organisations and academia to take up a role in promoting digital rights by strengthening their capacities and facilitating their active participation to multi-stakeholder dialogues.

Make-IT in Africa

Make-IT in Africa believes in in the catalytic power of African innovation and digital technologies for green and inclusive development. Its goal is to make innovation ecosystems future-ready – to build a resilient environment for digital visionaries and their partners. So, they can create impactful change in Africa – socially, environmentally, and economically.
